WILD HEART
WILD HEART, The Mustang Book Project, brings to light the profound partnerships forged between humans and previously wild mustangs. This project has been a labor of love, capturing moments of connection to showcase how these horses—once untamed and overlooked—can do anything when given a chance. From trust-building and healing to extraordinary feats of athleticism, their stories demonstrate the limitless potential of these remarkable beings.
The core focus of this project is to raise awareness about the plight of wild mustangs in the United States. These incredible animals face a significant overpopulation crisis, with thousands in desperate need of good homes. Through my book, I aim to shine a light on their healing abilities, resilience, and their openness to form life changing connections with their human partners. The message is clear: mustangs have the ability to make an impact in the professional horse world, proving over and over that there is nothing you cannot achieve with a mustang at your side.

Monty Roberts, known as The Man Who Listens to Horses, has dedicated his life to revolutionizing horse training through non-violent communication. His journey began at thirteen years old, when he first observed wild Mustangs in Nevada and discovered their silent body language. This realization led to the development of Join-Up®, a groundbreaking method that fosters trust-based partnerships between horses and humans. His work has influenced trainers and equestrians worldwide, earning him an MVO distinction from Queen Elizabeth II and the George T. Angell Humanitarian Award from the MSPCA. Now in his eighties, Monty continues to travel the world, demonstrating gentle and effective training techniques that align with his lifelong mission: to create a better world for horses and people alike. His autobiography, The Man Who Listens to Horses, has sold over six million copies, inspiring generations to seek harmony over force in their relationships with animals.
